Tried the "Search" already.
'79 Federal Westy Deluxe. Dual batteries, etc. What's my amperage and how do I tell without removing it?
Thanks in advance!!! _________________ Kirk

I believe you're gonna have to crawl under to get a look at the backside of it. The 55 amp has a removeable steel cover (usually black unless rusty or repainted) on the backside that covers the electrical plug , and has an oval boot attached to it. The 70 amp has no cover and a round boot attached to it (typically you'll see bead blasted aluminum but who knows how clean it will be, and the plug). The boot will probably be difficult to see.
A weak magnet might work best to check to see which you have?? _________________ Mike

Look by the belt at the pulley. The 55 amp should NOT have fan blades behind the alt. pulley; the 70 amp should have them. _________________ '76 Deluxe Campmobile |
