Finally, the engine is back in!! Very Happy Runs great so far and had passed the climb the hill at 55 instead of 40mph test. Very Happy So far I am really liking my decision to move up to dual carbs. Course, right now it is warm outside and I am not needing a choke for the most part. LOL We'll have to wait till winter to see how I feel about them then. LOL

I also had a hitch made for the bus. We got it on there but have discovered that we may have to do some adjustments for the single wheel brackets. The may put the trailer at to much of an angle. Will have to wait till I can get the trailer out and see what it looks like.

I bought an awning for the bus and hubby decided he wanted to build a rack to hold it. He actually had one from a chevy van that came into the tow yard, all he needed to do is cut it down to fit the bus. Well, that didn't work do to the top rubbing on the tubing. So he decided to build a whole new one, so he could move the tubing on the outside. He got it done today and we tried it out. It needs a couple adjustments but it will work for our trip. He wanted to be able to walk under the awning with out ducking. Well, I think he accomplished that. LOL

I know it is kind of extreme for just raising an awning up higher, but in his defense, I kind of ruined his original plan and I think he still wanted to build the rack just in case my awning proved to be just as cheap in quality as it was in price. LOL If it does, he only has a couple things to do to the rack to make an awning that he wanted. Very Happy

The back is made so I can put another rack over the top of my buses original luggage rack. I want to put my spare in my original rack and then the other rack will sit above that. This will only be done when we are traveling though. Just around town the second rack will stay home. I'll show a pic of that once I get it painted and when I put it up there once we are packed for our vacation.

Looks nice, what kind of awning is it? Should work out perfect with the new rack.

It's a no name awning I got off of Ebay. It is an ARB knock off I believe. So I named it a CAA L.E.. Cheap Ass Awning, Limited Edition. LOL

When we first opened the awning a nut was off of the bolt that holds the side frame bars on. Then one of the nuts that holds the legs was off. So we decided to replace all the nuts for the bars with nylon locking nuts. Then the nuts that hold the awning to the side frame bars were nylon locking ones, we didn't like that as you would have to use a wrench each time you tried to put those on. So we switched those to non locking nuts. I may end up replacing the nuts I just bought with wing nuts though. I didn't know how much space was available, but after messing with it with the new nuts, it appears it will have room for wing nuts. So in total I may be into the awning about 140 bucks.

We'll see how it holds up after some actual use.
