If these are still available I will sign up for one standard LHD with holes drilled for a post 67 Fastback, i.e with the vertical space in between sets of holes. Please advise when to PayPal and current price. _________________ 1966 Beetle, Sunroof, Sea Sand

Herman's dashes don't fit 70-73 dashes properly. I think you have to borrow a template & drill it yourself? _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

Mike, do they at least fit the contour of the later dashes correctly? I’ve had my eye on these for a while but even after reading 37 or so pages I’m not 100% sure this will fit my 71 Square. I can’t even get my head around “wraparound” vs “non-wraparound” dashes. |

Thanks, Mike. That's the kind of information I'm looking for. That would be a deal breaker, I suppose.

I'm not looking for second hand hearsay. I'm looking for opinions from people that have bought and installed this dash on their cars. The manufacturer has already given tons of information about his end of this transaction, now I want to learn more about actual installations. |

As far as I know, the dash will fit all Type 3 cars, the only thing that I am aware of is that the air ducts in the later model is differently located then the others, but the dash will still fit but the air duct openings need trimming.
Sure we have a few guys that have fitted it to the last two years of production and they could tell us how they did it.
Should I not trim the windshield side of the dash, you could maybe trim it to fit exactly.
The next run will probably start end July, and should be ready end Aug.
But do not book now, lets 1st see if they are ready and how many want
Will confirm list later when i have time.

Have not installed mine, and honestly probably wont. Really sucks that this might be the best repop dash on the market, some one has to make a nice replacement. _________________ There are no stupid questions, only stupid people,

Yeah, but will you pay for one? What is one willing to pay for a spot on copy? Any material to make it would be open. Just needs to look like og.
This is a never-ending loop. One Retrovan is filling nicely at the moment. Most Type 3 people want a good thing but are unwilling to part ways with the $ to get it when the time comes. _________________

I agree. I am going to be installing a Retrovan standard dash with correct speaker holes into D/A/N and neena's 1969 Vari soon. While I haven't installed one yet, these look very nice- almost like OEM with the speaker holes. And, unlike OEM NOS, they shouldn't ever split and fall apart.
The only other alternative is the WCM repro from the '80s, and good luck finding one. Even then you're limited to 1967-70 cars if you want correct, and Herman can do wrap around, N/ 1966 models, or '67-70. I just don't see any way possible Herman's dash will look as "off the rack" as the current '71-3 style repros do. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I think I'd like two dashes, considering the scarcity of other options. I have 2x 1971 squares that both need dashes. Cash in hand, just let me know when you want your money.

The guys on the past standby list, if you still want a dash please place your name on the list below, as I am not sure who wants and who not.
As the quantitys are still too low to make the next batch, we will have to wait for more orders, or not make any more.
Please under stand and place your name on the list should you need one at all.
