Like most, my 65 kombi is in need of some welding for repair. Is there anyone in the SF Bay who does it on the side who wouldn't mind some business? or can anybody recommend a reasonable shop? My skills with a torch are limited to that steel cube in shop class. Thanks.

What do you have to weld? I am in the SF Bay area, which city are you in? You can see some of the work I have done on my bus at
www.ripplewaver.com
Just click on the Bus Site link. Thanks

I was on vacation, sorry for the late response. Hope you don't mind me emailing directly to the address off your site. Nice site by the way.
There are four (4) areas of concern I have (I'm sure there will be others as I get further into the project).
1) Bulkhead wall for bench seat bus. Somebody tried making the bus into a walk-through. (I have replacement section)
2) Roof section near rear hatch hinge area. Interior gutter in same area. (I Have replacement section)
3) Luggage area floor section. Similar to the work shown on your site. Aprox. 18"x18" section.(Don't have replacement section yet)
4) Bottom area of front clip. (Don't have replacement section yet)
I can send pictures of the areas in question to give you a better idea. I'll be looking for the other sections when I go down to the Classic next weekend.
I appreciate any help.
