Eurovan power door lock actuator is a excellent replacement unit as they typically last longer. The vanagon plug needs to be transferred over but the rest is a direct replacement. That may open up more replacement options in the junk yard.
Good luck. |

If you like fiddling around take it apart and clean the contacts. This is info on here about guys sucessfully rebuilding them. Me included. Here is a link for a post. There are little springs that rust out sometimes the contacts are completely shot. Its worth tearing apart to save you money. But they may or may not be rebuildable. I got lucky. If you need new springs I got mine at ACE Hardware. Or you can use some from a pen.

thanks guys,
yesterday before I post I was stuck with the tiny springs.. by luck I got one after destroying about a dozen of ball pens... it's working now
I'd like add: before re-assembling, position the be big wheel and the slider in the UP position
thanks again |
