No Y in the front, just in the rear. |
Mine has a smaller tube that makes a y in the front. It is smaller about 1.5" in diameter. I'll try to get pics up. As the heat tube goes up in the front there it is.
No idea? |
Double Cabs have a little Y outlet near the front for the back seat heater outlet. This is Double Cab only and a lot of people don't know it's there - even Double Cab owners. |

It's an insulting wrap that goes around the heater tube(s). _________________

That's different than what I'm looking for.
This tube replaces the metal tube seen in the pics I posted. I'm not looking for the vinyl/cloth insulation wrap, i'm looking for the tube itself. It's similar to the fresh air paper tubes on the engine but it is a smaller diameter and metal reinforced. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

Head over to your local FLAPS, most have a selection of universal fit preheat tubes in various diameters. That's where I found mine. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

So the metal tube you have is not original? I'll have to check my DC when it gets back whenever it is ready. _________________ "When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car." |

It is original, it's not a solid tube like the earlier model shown in the pics. It's a small diameter paper/metal tube much like the fresh air hoses on your engine. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

Let me know if it fits when you get it. I asked WW and was sent some tubing (superbeetle something or other ) and it was still too big. I was going to send it back but with shipping it wasn't worth it so I used it anyway. I used a little of the old stuff inside and clamped the tube on. It's working.
I tried the flexible exhaust pipe but the curve is too tight to use that stuff- it's not flexible enough. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.
