now that we are living in lucy again, i decided i should do a few things to make my life more comfortable, i made poptop struts, that has been well worth the time spent, and yesterday i added a closet door
before
after, it's amazing what you can do without power tools {OK i have a cordless drill} all the cutting i did with a hacksaw blade, as i don't own a jagsaw and have no where to plug one in anyway
after
i faced the door the opposite way, as when i put the bed out it can get at the bedding a lot easier now _________________ lucy our westy

Easily one of the best Interior mods I've seen.
Much needed and nicely executed.
Good show!

lucy got her BMW brake booster upgrade today, aswell as time spent tidying up the wiring under the dash, the ground crowns were all cleaned, and coated with dia electric grease, i also added an extra ground crown, i changed the switch out for my manual reverse light, i polished the triangle off of an emergency flashing light switch, now i can't accidentally leave the light on.
old and newer
and in
the wiring was a mess, it's now much neater in there, i removed some old redundant wires left in by the PO, the rest i untangled and tied up.
having driven her around the block with the new booster in there, wow it's a good difference, definitely worth my time today _________________ lucy our westy

Wow. My old Vanagon. I was sooooo hoping someone would put some time and energy into it. It looks fabulous, and I'm super stoked it got a new lease on life.
I still have the mud flap for the propane tank that never made it to the buyer when I sold it. When I sold it to the kid in Rhode Island, the van was PACKED to the roof with parts - even all the stuff from a diesel required to do a 2.0L ABA swap. Did any of that come with your purchase?
Do you have any current pics? |

first there was drilling, then more drilling, the 5 bolt holes are now 17.5mm diameter, then in went a 60º countersink
then they looked like this
thanks to chris at T3 she got conversion studs for the front, and 20 of these
12.7mm lead, full thread, sample picture
new nexan tires 215/65/16, here's how she looks in her new shoes
definitely very happy with her new shoes, and the carat springs _________________ lucy our westy
