Is the dash sticker of our shift pattern still available? I checked a few sites but no luck.

Yes I'm getting closer to getting her on the road Wink

Linda,
Great to hear its almost on the road. I didn't even know there was a shift pattern sticker. A picture would be nice to see.

Linda--

I think that the shift pattern sticker for the dash was a dealer installed
item.

I have uploaded what I believe is the black oval dealer-installed shift pattern decal. I recently bought it. They seem to be exceedingly rare. I had trouble photographing it, as it is printed on a semi-gloss paper. The thing is tiny; 2 3/8 inches wide. Any enterpising person can copy it and make reproductions - as far as I am concerned, anyway.

As much as I enjoy a good isometric,I prefer the first example vs/cip 1`s.
I can't believe I'm commenting on stickers, but I think my utilitarian singlecab actually needs one...

Let's see some original sticker dash pics for reference.

Pic is from an advertised "unrestored" low mileage single cab.

What is different? Does it say, "double clutch into first or standing still only", or is it era/motif?

OK! I'm a little late getting to the party but I just stumbled across this thread by accident!

I'm the third owner of a very original 66 Westy that I've owned for over 20 years.

It has what I believe is the original magnetic shift pattern decal on the dash.

When I get a chance, I will post a picture.

Below is a photo of the shift pattern decal that was in my 66 Westy when I bought it used in 2002. It is magnetic and sticks to the dash. Since I am the third owner, I'm not sure if it was dealer installed or an aftermarket add-on. The vehicle is very correct and pristine inside and out.

Cool but I'm not sure they would have used a magnet at that time?
I've seen a few different stickers though.
I do like the magnet idea, repro it... Smile

Good point Everett. Magnetic stickers were probably not around in 1966.
