I have looked and not found any answers why do some buses have front indicators and some don't I have seen a 58 panel without them and some 56 buses with them |

I know what was used as indicators but how come some early buses have them and some don't.as I fancy a bus without them and would like to know to tell if it left the factory without them |

up to and including 1955 semaphores
1956 to 1960 bullet signals
1961 to 1967 fried egg signals
true for most busses but there are certain models and some year overlap where that may not be 100% true _________________ 63 15 window deluxe Turkis walk through 1500

European buses didn't get front indicators til later, as it was not legislated mandatory as early as it was in North America. I'm not sure of the exact date the euro buses received them. |

x2.
A North American delivered 58 bus would have flashing indicators, while a German or UK delivered 58 bus would have semaphores.
Also, the pointy turn signals were used through 1963 for Euro spec buses, but only through 1961 for US Spec.
Fried egg turn signals started 1964 for Euro spec, 1962 for export.
This pic from a 1965 National Geographic. See the 1/3 2/3 front seat and pointy indicators... Euro spec '63 bus:
