Today I attended the Classic with my '65 sunroof Variant, the show was kinda dead, but I met up with old friends and met some new ones, Got to say hello to my good friends Pedro and Jack and the OCT3 guys, picked up some parts from Scott Taylor and met Ingo, Pedra, Enka and Kai from Germany. Though the show was weird because of the new layout, I left early, but found out later that my car had placed first! And I only registered to get the freakin dash plaque and pin. This year they didn't give out any.

They didnt? I got some. You had to turn in those cards they handed you at registration at the Hot VW's and Vee Dub Parts...ahem...Pierside parts tents. Im not surprised your car took first, in spite of us nitpicking it, its still one of the nicest Type 3's Ive seen!

They are not original, but you can use rubbers for Ghia bumper tubes.

What the hell did they look like? I guess I'll have to buy one when they go up for sale.

Congratulations Martin. I may not be there at the show but by the looks of your squareback, no doubt, you deserve that award. Two thumbs up, buddy!
