I did search for the info, and found a couple threads that seemed promising but were incomplete.
I have a 1965 bus and would like to install middle and rear seat belts. I have the everything removed and easy access....
I was looking for seat belt mount locations off of a 67 (front and back) so I could duplicate what the factory did. Measurements and/or pics would be fantastic. |

This is from a 66 standard with factory belts. Rear seatbelt mounting is behind the gas tank. These are the middle 2 with 2 more being outside the pic on the same "rail".

i believe that the bay window rear seat belt mounts (the ones that go behind the gas tank) are a different angle for the bays as they are for the splits.
i was able to massage them to fit but worth noting
also worth noting that the outer seat belt mounts in the rear need to go through the rear wheel wells.
Again I re-used bay window hardware for this purpose and this was much easier.
Dropping the engine and gas tank is a bit of a PIT just to install rear seat belts but tried to do it correct the first time.
if i am ever under the bus again i will take some pics |

There is another bracket/anchor that goes from the bottom of the tank bay down to the frame on an angle as well is there not? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Last thing I want to do is mislead someone. My bus has two seatbelt codes 425 and 025, combined with titan red paint(before the black) on the seatbelt connections, which led me to believe it was factory. I must be mistaken. I will return to my seat in the classroom and continue to try and learn from the vast knowledge base here. |

My panel camper has seat belt M code as well, but they appear to be dealer installed with just holes drilled through the floor right behind the bench seat. No extra brackets. |

For the middle seats, these pics show the location pretty well, relevant to the other floor stampings. The seat belt bolts go into captive nuts attached to the bottom of the crossmember. I think there is a reinforcing plate between the nut and the crossmember itself. Again, will try to get a decent pic of this on my bus for you.
First pic shows the black plugs where the bolts go...second pic is a new KF floor stamping showing the flat spot and the hole for the bolt to pass through. Disregard the A, B and C markings - they are not relevant to this.

Just to add info to the thread, here's how to modify bay rear belt mounts for a split:
Stock bay left, modified for split right
Cut a couple small notches
Bend to 65 degrees and weld.
A lot easier than finding factory split brackets _________________ Tim |

Thanks for the pics. I ended up making some seat belt brackets out of some 3.5" flat stock I had laying around. Not exactly like the factory, but they will work. I still need some pics of the outer bolt holes for the very back seat. I believe they go through the wheel well.
Here they are in the bus.

To use seatbelts for the middle seat, is it necessary to cut holes in the cargo floor mat? Were 67 cargo mats already cut for the belts? _________________ Looking for SO34 parts.

Here are (crappy) pics of the outer bolt areas. Good camera is w/o a cable at the mo, so these are as good as the cell gets.
