Work Space for engine rebuild/replacement in San Francisco

Hey gang,
Looks like I'll be having to do an engine for my vanagon sooner rather than later and what with my budget being somewhat limited for the time being I'm either going to have to re-build it myself or slap in long-block.
Either way I'm going to need a space to do the work. The house I'm currently residing at is undergoing remodeling otherwise I'd be working there. The van IS running so getting to a location isn't going to be a problem but getting to and from a given location....


Any suggestions would be appreciated.
