Damn man that really sucks. At least she had insurance, right? Throw a new parcel tray in as well.

^hes right. Their front bumper could have been sitting ontop of your legs.

Man sorry for the accident. Bonus is that they actually had insurance.

I would watch the body shop closely, I would tell them to show me the bodywork before they put the paint on. But maybe that is because I don't trust the body shops around here after the experience I had with the body shop.

If you/they end up needing parts, I saved the chimney/turn signals, etc from a `78 CEII I hauled away once...

My Father was T-boned in his `69 Beetle in Sodo about 8 years ago I guess it's been, while stuck in traffic somone in a green JEEP drove right through him perpendicular to the arterial, and kept going...he waited like six hours for the Police to show up to write it up, ended up having to go to the courthouse and still got nothing in the end. His first new car, bought it off the lot in `68...

I trust this body shop, i know the guess there pretty well, and have done some job shadowing there for school...these guys know their stuff....at least most of them do...haha the rest just wash the cars Laughing

actually, my dad and i are pretty sure the lady doesnt have it. she really insisted she didnt want to touch her insurance, and was willing to pay outta pocket, 4060.27 was the estimate, and she paid it in a check, which i am cashing tomorrow for the shop. i sounded alotta parts from vwmike76 cause hes here in lynnwood, so the shops taking a complete front clip and fitting it to the bus n such, and mike helped me out big time getting what i needed so far. thanks again man!

i would be in there every day, but i will be gone on a road trip till about a week from this thursday, so ill have something to occupy my time while my baby is in surgery...lol but when i get back...that body shops gonna be rushing to have me outta there...cause im litterally gonna be in there like every day.... Laughing Cool

its a cashiers check, and ya, the police determind it was her failure to yeild that caused the collision. she says shes fighting the ticket, which is up to her, but she seems to think, but hasnt said, that if the ticket gets dissmissed, than it wasnt her fault and she doesnt owe anything. ...but most of that is my speculation. shes agreed to pay, and im keeping my mouth shut. it doesnt even touch my title, so clean title too! Very Happy

I wonder if there would have been less damage if the tire was not on the front ? It seems to have prevented the bumper from doing it's job.
