I am starting now the restoration of my 1950 split, I was very lucky that I found another 1950 split body in a vw workshop for around 29 years, I am using this body on my chassis as the last body have no title
I found this arm rest with the body it looks original but without a hole in the D shape, also the previous owner drill the bottom part to attach it with the arm rest body, I need to know how this bottom part originally attached to the arm rest body?

West Coast does nice work, but their restorations are not necessarily 100% correct. As with any shop, ultimately it comes down to how correct the owner of the car wants it to be and how much money they have to spend. _________________ Chris

Thanks Mika.
No, I got into a bizzare argument about it. Mine is correct, metal...no upholstery...can be opened for access to the screws...thanks and greetings from Mexico...

Hello DAvid,
My 51 is missing the arm rests, and I have a friend who works with wood, talked with him and told me he manages to come make a copy if I had the measurements, if not annoyance you , can you could pass the measures to me for I try to make a copies on wood? I'm not as purist trying to find or pay a fortune in a metal, then covered anyone will see.
Thanks and greetings from Brazil :D
