I've looked thru many posts and can't get the right info. I have a 66 beetle and need a new or rebuilt 6 volt generator. What bosch numbers would work on this car? My existing bosch gen is #LJ/REG180/6/2500L3. Any thread for bosch numbers would be greatly appreciated.

This is from a 1968 Bosch parts book. This listing only goes through 65, but 66 was the same.

And this is a VW listing.

Hi, I have also a Bosch LJ/REG180/6/2500L3 on my 62.

Which is the vw code for the correct armature ?

113.903.213 or 111.903.213 C ?

Thanks

Excerpt from the parts manual - the items listed correspond to the numbers in the big 51-71 generators chart posted above.

On that chart, the 2500L3 is item 8.

So that makes the 113 903 213 the match.

FYI - you can find the parts manual here - although some of the generator pages are missing. (my chart above is complete though)

And you can find a cleaner copy, but in German, here:
