|
|
Mad max had a nice hidden switch that would prevent the car from blowing up in the event of unauthorized theft or tampering. I am finding that my 67 is getting attention and it's bothering me. My son drove it to burger king tonight and a suspicious car circled it twice and even parked a block away to watch it. I need an anti theft system that is unique. I'm thinking remote fuel line cut-off valve. Just press button and poof, valve closed. I'm running mechanical pump, but there has to be a way or system. The car is garaged at night, but please help me friends with ideas. |

Get one of those quick release steering wheel adapters. Park the car, take the wheel with you. Good luck driving it. _________________ 1974 Super: "Diego" |

Hmmm. Not bad, taking the wheel with you isn't practical though. Love the thoughts.

My electric fuel pump is on a toggle switch. It isn't fool proof, but hopefully it will slow them down enough to make a difference.
There are similar solutions you can do with your starter lead. It won't stop someone from just towing the car, though. Regardless, though, if someone really wants your car, they'll take your car. |

If I'm a thief and I can't start the damn thing, I'm gone. What thief brings a tow truck ? |

Then they will replace it with one of the plug wires and drive away on 3 cylinders. LOL
Pull the coil wire and replace it with a dummy look alike. |

It is still a keyed source. So I can leave it on and it all works like it should. |

Dragsters use an emergency cut off switch for the batteries. it should be easy enough to rig one up to the main cable of the battery and hide it somewhere. issue is your clock and radio settings are gone after that. |
