Dont know about the pepper tamer but La Indita is hands down the best Mexican food north of the border. LOL Been eating there every friday night since the 90s. Home style, non Tex-Mex, and vegetarian available.
Don't sit in the back. Its for regulars only. They will forget about you and you will have to get your own drinks and chips and poss food. _________________ Support Small Business.

Hi All,
As I posted about this time last year, I've sold my Westy but have some spare parts that I would like to Part It Forward to the good people in Tucson. I just gave away a bunch of stuff yesterday, but as I continue to clean out my garage it turns out I have a few more things to give away. I've got one 14" wheel and tire, an instrument cluster, and an oil filter. I've also posted a 16" wheel in the classifieds but if someone local is interested I won't have to ship it. If we can nail down when and where on Jan 6th I'll be sure to show up. |

That works for me. My chore that day is taking down Christmas lights for a 95 year-old friend but I can finish before noon and be there. |

I can make this happen. I'll track down my friend who has an '82 Westy with a swap and get him to show as well. |

Just a reminder that Saturday (tomorrow) is the day for the Tucson meet-up.
High noon in the Old Pueblo, at the Hot Dog Cart on the SE corner of Alvernon & Lee.
As the Buddhist said to the hot dog vendor: 'Make me one with everything'. |

Left my van at the shop too late on Thursday (closed on fri 🙄) so I’m Cleaning out the garage this afternoon instead of tooling around my van. Set of 14” rims and some air cooled rocker arms up for grabs if anyone in the desert is interested in picking them up.
Man this is a nice day. Happy Sunday. _________________ Support Small Business.

Didn't know about that meetup, I guess I haven't been around these parts much. It's almost around the corner from me. |

Headed to the Shores ( Gila River management area) if anyone is interested in a little camping. Ill be there shortly after 2 w/ a van full of little people ages 10-14. Trying to wrangle up a small boat to float the river. Apparently theres enough water being released to make it possible.
Thank god all that wind died down. _________________ Support Small Business.

That wind was nuts. I wouldn't have wanted to drive a Vanagon anywhere in that. |

I agree but I will have to say that I drove downtown to p/u my peeps last night and w my new wider wheels. Barely blown around. Not like the days of old and 5" wide rims. Theses baby's handle way better in a cross wind than the stock rubber. What a diff. Go big or go home ( when it's windy). _________________ Support Small Business.

I've got wider wheels, 16 inch steel rims with Nokian tires, a T3 sway bar, and it feels as slippery as an eel with any cross wind. I don't even want to imagine what it would be like with the stock wheels then... |

Usually when I am driving mine it is to leave town so yeah, seldom seen on city streets.
Sorry I could not be in on a meet-up, had a conflict -- seems like almost everything that gets scheduled in Tucson gets jammed into April and October. |

Headed up to Mnt. Bigelow tonight...... cause the lightning is more exciting when your sitting at 10000 feet.
Hope to see you there. _________________ Support Small Business.

Anyone know a good air cooled shop in Tucson?
Stuttgart's mechanic went Bob's Bug Barn. Been attempting go get in touch with Bob for over a month with no luck. I know he is always busy.
Someone told me Chirco Performance?
Looking at some engine work. Might have toasted a valve. |
