Nope. Let some other dude flip it off the side. That way you'd have no accountability... and you wouldn't be inside when it happened...

the guy actually had me do it because he couldn't figure out the gears. it was kinda scary driving it up there, then he decided it was to tall so he had me back it back down to where you see it in the picture.

I just had my Westy shipped and the driver handled the loading and unloading... would probably be a pretty big liability on his part to let the owner do it.

It took him a while to figure out reverse when unloading it Laughing .

I shipped a split bus once and the driver made me drive it up. It was scary to say the least. The engine barely ran so I had to get a running start and ramp it up the 45 degree ramp. NEver again will I be talked into that.

did the same thing but with our 1949 ford with dry-rotted tires both rear tires poped as soon as the hit the ramps.

There is a bunch of tricks to get cars up and down from a rack. The worse is a 2 wheel drive S10/ Colorado in the rain for the top. You have to watch the ratchets as they will poop a tire quick, why dually trucks are driven on in the last spot on top. The supervisor for the company I worked for in our yard went over the front and now has a desk job.
