Finally finding some DOKA models... I know they've been out for a few years, just never saw any for sale. There's a few variations on Ebay from Minichamps.

Visit this guy's store... much better prices, and he combines shipping. Has quite a few T3 models.

Thanks Syncroincity,
I'll keep an eye on his site, but right now he doesn't have the one I'm looking for.
Still pretty expensive. Hopefully the quality matches the bucks!

Herpa HO scale T3 models... sadly discontinued.
Correct to scale, fairly accurate releases of 1983.5-1985 modles.
Including a couple of canopied dokas.
http://www.herpa.de/collect/

In search type "VW T3"

For anyone looking for the Magnum PI Hot Wheels, I found 3 in stock at my local K-Mart. Seems to be the only big retail store in my area stocking the Magnum Sunagon and Magnum chopper.

I bought one from Ebay but really wanted a Syncro. I decided to sacrifice my sons dune buggy for the cause. This is the end result. He loves it. Pop up top and all.

Found one!

Target in Canada! Specifically the Richmond, BC store and this was the last one, should anyone else be looking...They had an entire section of Magnum PI stuff, with in the Hot Wheels section.

Really want a BLUE one though, could live with a green one, cause then I could paint it blue! LOL Since this one was $5 anyway, a $10 ebay blue one might not bother me as much, something wrong with paying $10 for a $1 toy car. Embarassed

Forgot to click a pic before gifted at Xmas, but...

Picked up a Marklin HO scale flatbed railcar carrying a dark blue VW LT van with "Marklin Magazine" logo.
LTD edition. (oooo!)

These toys are a disease much like the real thing.

Pics?

And, indeed, these little shiny things are certainly pressing on the defective collecting part of my brain. Good thing I have kids and can blame the $5 car on them. Wink

Didn't realize there were other threads, or cars to collect! LOL Found them when I was looking for this thread.

Buddy of mine gave me this one with TC's helicopter (same orange/brown/yellow paint scheme). I wasn't going to open them… but my kids took care of that for me Wink.

I wanted 3. 1 to keep in the package b/c crazy people will pay crazy amounts of money for these things when they're not on the shelves anymore. 2 for the kids to play with. I put mine of the top shelf, debating opening it to play with vs keeping it pretty. It's a painful decision! LOL

I paid $10 for my Magnum Vanagon at a little shop in Coombs that has a VW museum. I didn't mind since they are having money trouble.
And I did open mine up to play with!

And there's a big pile not even on display, including a Revell Vanagon Camper still in its box. d'oh! Laughing Edit: Remembered I have a pic of it:

Been too busy and forgot about this thread: When I saw the Island Hoppers van was out, I went straight to eBay again: one to display, one for storage (no stores in my area had 'em, as usual). The Bus/van shelf:

(In case anyone is wondering, that's a Sharan behind Green and Purple.)

Nice!

I was given the Revell Westfalia Joker scale model kit for xmas this yr.. and am now pondering the customizing effort to convert it to a reasonable replica of a stocker 1989 in dove blue.
The paint is easy, since I have the touch up spray for the real van from Paintscratch.com..
Will have to alter the headlights to look square..

Be careful with automotive paint on styrene plastic... test it out on a scrap first make sure it won't melt the plastic, and that it dries in a reasonable amount of time. I shot a model with auto primer when I was a kid, and it never really dried, stayed kinda slimy for weeks.
