Impressive as always. Are you using dies, hand forming or a combination of both?

Thanks! Dies, a cutter tool for the exhaust openings, a deep draw tool for the lower bowl (or half bowl). All of them made by myself.

Does anyone make or carry a reproduction luggage tray for a split beetle? I know Mika makes the hole covers. I think there is a company maybe in Poland that makes this panel but almost impossible to communicate with? I need one.
Help. Tim

I could make a plan how it would be possible to make the rear luggage panel. Anyway it would be a long project, requires a heavy dies, but I have an idea how to make it lighter.

You mean with 3 holes on engine.
How about the generator pulley? I should have made my question more specific.
Thanks.

I thought it had a cast iron pulley for generator too, but was there one more version between them? I will check what my collection says Smile

No Marcus I don't. My plan is to make repair sections for the sides of the luggage tray.

This generator is dated 12.42, so it's used for a 43. Cast iron pulley.

Mika, are you talking about the 3 dimples section of the luggage tray ? How long were these used ? I need a right one for an early oval.

Yes, the side sections with the dimples. For sure early oval still has the same.
