I have a list of parts that solve some of the vanagon problems due to availability, better quality and better pricing.
Alternate sources list here as well, like napa or the junkyard, etc. I will start--

fuel pump EXACTLY like vanagon--junkyard---1976 to 1987 jaguar xj6 xj12 xjs probably supplies more volume [6/12 cyl] PAID $8.00 holidays, pick your part california--located in trunk

I put a bunch of common (Ford, Chevy) coolant hoses into a thread for Syncro systems. I am search illiterate here - cannot get it to be even slightly discriminatory for me.

I am running a 1989 volvo 740 fuel pump-- it has a 90 degree barbed outlet and different electrical studs, but it works well for 17.00 bucks jyard.
now the boys are saying the 1988 toyota forerunner front calipers fit the vanagon 1985+ with no machining at all and are bountiful and cheap. local flaps and they are used with jag venters [76-87]
