Is the VIN stamped any where else in the van?
or The VIN sticker on the driver side door jam and VIN Plate on the dash,are it?
I ask because I found a nice '90 Multivan but is missing the sticker and the VIN plate number is from an '84 Van.
Is there a way to correct this or should I just walk away?

Stamped into box crossmember near front jack point on passenger side...
(rear-facing surface: crawl under slider & look up & toward front of van)

Please note: The stamped VIN will have four "Z" filler digits; this is normal for all old '80s and '90s VWs.
