I have searched and found numerous threads about the problem when the headlights go out but the high beams work...not my prob.

My headlights went out, last night, on an unlight road, in a blizzard, luckily it was a few miles from my house and I got home by brail.....the rumble strips.

So my headlights and highbeams do not work. Turn signals, orange lights, dash lights, wipers all work.

Any suggestions
Thanks for any help in advance

Oh yea 87 syncro tin top.

Hi: Take out the headlight and use your meter to check for voltage (key on/switch on) trace back from there.

so they don't illuminate at all when you 'flash' by pulling back on the stalk?

this happens every year when the weather gets cold out.

your headlights ALL ground at the grounding star under the dash above the fuse box.
age and temperature increase the resistance to the point where they don't get enough conductivity.
sometimes just pulling the wire off & back on will get them to light, but agood cleaning or an additional ground wire from the headlight wire to a chassis ground screw into a clean piece of metal (painted afterwards to coat/protect).
