money no object, i'd have a syncro westy with either a 6 cylinder subaru or a BIG tdi motor and gearbox to suit
big brakes and bigger wheels, a winch
maybe air suspension, so i could run it as low as the wheels would allow, and go up up up for offroading
i'm hoping to in big when we get to vegas _________________ lucy our westy

Neither, I think. Looks like a CAD effort.
This is one of the most impressive things I have ever seen. Nice work.

Well, if $ were no object I would yell "get to da choppa" and we would land at the airport and fly my G6 to the mountains where we could use my snowcat to get everybody back to the summit of my private mountain for a boarding session. Dream big

I hate typos I miss seeing. Maybe Live IN Yellowstone makkes more sense.
Just found out, not enough snow to track in from Mammoth, have to go in on a bus. Good news is it will be quicker, bad news is I wanted to ride on the cool tracker! _________________ Live Fulltime in motorhome

X2 on Syncrodoka's dream. I've always wanted a remote home with an interesting feature. Two ways to enter - a conventional driveway of a mile or two, or a seriously challenging offroad trail to the house that would take a couple hours to negotiate. Just for my fun buddies.

yeah, it's CAD. Too clean, where's all the crud if that thing was driven in the snow. Oh, it would need an engine for that (o;
Also, they forgot to photoshop in the background to the passenger window. _________________ __________________________________

Good call RadioRental, I found the link to the forum where the kid shows his steps to render this beast up http://www.smcars.net/forums/snow-2009-winters-contest/32179-snow-vw-transporter-t3.html Showing some great talent.

And a big friggin v-8 to turn the damn tracks.
The tracks I saw were on a Silverado 4x4.. I don't know if a 2.5 Subie or SVX would be much help running in soft snow.
Would be a fun build though. _________________ -89 GL Westy, SVX.. finally.

no latches on the gates or treasure box either yet. nice work though.
also, he's never taken a bumper off a T3 cause there's no bumper inner structure models or detentes on the bottom side corners...probably alot of details missing. |

If money were no object...
I'd be sailing one of these in trials for a solo around trip/race
..which would not allow much time for continuing my Vanny project.. But I'd keep the 2WD 16er going on its current trajectory, though I'd probably hire out some tasks to get it DONE(r)!. _________________ -89 GL Westy, SVX.. finally.

Got a ride in a private G4 once. Can't believe I cannot remember the model but it was 1990/01 and a brand new one with some power or range upgrade. Anyhow, the pilot knew I had pilots in my family and as a show off maneuver, he hit the end of the runway at full throttle and brought the nose up harder than anything I've ever had a ride in (and I've been upside down in a Lear). What a hod rod that thing was. I recall that the owner was aboard and his daughter's rabbit was in the luggage space at the back (separated by just a curtain), and everybody aboard could hear the unsecured wire cage tumbling and bouncing all the way to the back while we were pinned to our seats. Frickin' hilarious circumstance. A personal assistant wordlessly went back to check on the bunny and right the cage. I'd forgotten all about this - thanks for the memory and chuckle!!
