| They look like the fasteners for the wood rear base bow for the convertible top. I had similar ones on my 1967 convertible. |

Thanks for your comment which gives me a place to look though I'm not sure how they go on. I assumed the rear bows mount on with some large coutersunk screws that I have in a labelled bag. If you (or anyone else) happen to have photos it would be great to see.

So I was going through some of the parts that I received from the PO of my Ghia and found this steering wheel.
The markings on the front are partially obscured.
On the back side it says "Made in Italy"
Can anyone identify this wheel, will it fit a Ghia, is it worth refurbishing?

| ^^ Clutch cable bowden tube. the bracket attaches to the left side of the transmission. |

the top pieces look like worn out brake shoe retaining cups.
the next pieces down are thrust washers for setting up type 1 spindles (king and link pin spindles) |

Friend who's an ACVW mechanic comes across these installed on the fuel lines of stock VW's at times, but does not know what they are. The bottom tube has a hole that opens to the cavity above, but is straight though otherwise. The top tube seems to be valved or restricted, but he is does not recall if the top tube was connected to a fuel or vacuum line. It does have the VW emblem cast into the body.

No kidding, a factory shut off valve! Examining it, it looks like suction from the inlet side pulls down a diaphragm to open the valve for the discharge side of the pump to feed the carb. Doesn't seem very useful for run-on though since the valve would remain open as long as the engine is physically turning over...

That is correct. The raised edge of the plug fits in the groove of the case with the flat side facing out.

I was thinking the same thing, except the ones I've seen are solid rubber all the way around. |

| does not look like a bumper to me. looks like a hole plug. bumpers are usually taller. the flat side goes out. the pointed side has the recess areas so it can squeeze through the hole. probably covers a hole to access a screw or bolt |

| It holds the faux wood facia in place, preventing lift and fills the mystery holes under the dash. There is one hole near each a pillar and one near the ash tray. |
