Nothing like that under my '73 AutoStick...
No idea.

I have that same assembly under my 70 Ghia, 4 speed.

Were there gas heaters that came tunnel mounted? This device hooks up to a "box" that intercepts the hot air from the heater pipes before heading into the cabin. My car does have a heater light on the dash but no switch to activate the heater.

Thanks canadianeh for the insight,
I do believe I have the same heater as the pic on pg 24 on this thread.
The hose going into the engine bay has been cut so Iím not sure where it is supposed to connect up on the engine side but at least I have an idea on narrowing the search.
I also have a light on the dash that I have no idea what itís function is so Iíll assume itís heater related.

Thanks again eh,

No problem eh.

I will likely remove the heater from the car. The "exhaust" pipe is missing and it looks pretty rough overall.

I was able to drill/tap one of these PC rack anchor nuts for M6X1. This should work nicely. Thanks again Rick.

I just found a bag of 5 of these in my 6mm hardware drawer. Came with some rack mount something or other years back. Yep 6X1.0 metric... Have several drawers dedicated to the 10-32 ones as well.

Dunno, but I've seen both horn buttons and cigar lighters that look like that.

Did you look under the dash to see if it is connected to anything? That might give you some indication what it's connected to. I have the same empty slot on mine, just deciding what I want to place there.

The picture is some thing I saw online. I had found one of those buttons loose in the glove box of my 1970 ghia, wasnít sure what it was or where it went. Saw it in this picture and wondered if someone knew.
