I couldnt get this pump to turn with penetrant and massaging so i thought i would see whats going on inside. it wouldn't slide apart so i had to get in there with a recip. saw Very Happy .

yeah it was kinda fun, as you can see this thing was worn, lacquered up and rusty, interesting thing is the pump itself, that metal plate with the goldish hue almost feels like ceramic...very light. i split them apart and might make a thing to dangle from the rear view mirror out of it Razz

You can save it man! I know you can. With just a little bit of patience you'll be able to put it all back together. You know these things are becoming classics and once they're gone, they're gone.

ahahah, yeah, the temptation to try and clean it up and put it back together caught me a couple times, i had to remind myself constantly, "its ok, its ok...its gone now, just let it go...let it go...sshhh shhh shhhh."

unfortunately in this case this one is both a classic and its gone too..

I suppose i could get a spool gun and weld 'er up, source up some new o-rings, polish it and "roll it"
..





until the top popped off and burned my bus down Razz
