As TK said, yes it is a weekender....

They say it is an '85 Looks newer than that to me. No round headlights, newer bumpers, or is just me and lack of knowledge?

It is a hodgepodge of early and late parts as the description states.
The dash with all of it's brown and black isn't something that I would want to see for hours on a trip- it should be all brown in that van. |

b-b-b-buh... but he says its "an unmolested van from California"
You know with a non-OEM 3 window tent.. square headlights, skirts from a late model Vanagon.

I bought a Vanagon from Vic at ZSI last year. They may have earned their feedback in the forums so I went into the deal a little wary. I got him down quite a bit on the price and I feel I got a good deal. I wouldn't have done the deal if I hadn't driven there to see the vehicle in person. You would definitely need to see the van up close. Vic may be a decent diesel engine mechanic but the paint and bodywork I saw there was pretty bad. I think this one was there last year. There is a bit of bondo in front of the right rear wheel well among other places. They have a warehouse of parts there so the van could be pretty complete. |

If you look at the VIN you will see it started life as a gas engine kombi and it is an 85. It must have been converted to diesel at some point and all the later model exterior accessories added.
