Wheel looking good, lot of dirty work polishing them...
I had a YJ 4.2 carbed AMC last year from Canada hard top, that is how I spotted it.

Yea its a lot of stages of sandpaper going from 400 up to 1500. That's cool, you sold the Jeep? I pulled the 4.2 out and dropped in a 5.0 Mustang engine this past October. Still not finished though.

Daammm, better hold on to your britches with that, I know what a fox body will do even with stock HO from late 80s. That should be a fun ride.
Ya trades the jeep MANY years ago for a 94 T-bird (I miss that car) then on to a 96 Dodge diesel, that is when I got my race car, then to a 99 F-250.
Sorry to drag it out, now back to your car...

Got some new panels with the boots and clips. Going to use them to replace the ugly snakeskin ones in there now.

some amazing progress on the bug.
every time I talk myself into thinking that my current wheels are ok, I see something like yours. Slots are perfect for an old school baja.
to top it off you've got me missing AMC's
The only amc jeep I ever had was an 89 xj, right before chrysler took them.
But I've had AMC eagles, javelins, a concorde, a gremlin X, and my favorite was a plum crazy purple 1974 Hornet that we put a 360 from a 71 javelin sst in. It was a fun ride... and it had slots too, _________________ Rocco- my build thread

Thanks Poomwah, sounds like you had a nice collection of AMCs there. Many guys pull out the 258s and 304s in their CJs and put in the 360s. Here's my Jeep before I started pulling it apart.

The front bumper of that Jeep appears to be getting pulled into a black hole or another dimension. _________________ 1957 Vintage Baja Bug.
