I am looking for info on the helicopter that is pictured in the back of the scab. not sure who owns it, anyone know?
Also if you have info on VW powered helicopters I'd like to learn more in general. Thanks!

The Grundmann museum in Heissich Oldendorf has one, might even be the same helicopter.
I saw it at HO2017 during a great tour of their collection.

Dang, sure looks like the same machine.
It's a Rotorways Scorpion, it was a kit you could build at home in the 70's. Love that V belt tail rotor drive. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Looking at my photos of the HO helicopter, and the ones on the back of truck, they are the same helicopter. _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

I’ve seen that thing up close and NO, I would NOT ride in it! _________________ Some people are so busy being clever they don't have time enough to be wise. |

I agree with you guys, it looks terrifying and you would need 100% faith in your engine, and, well, i cant put 100% faith into any machine. I just want to fly it 5 feet off the ground and hover around, then change my pants, and eventually sell when im tired of looking at it. _________________ Josh The Bus Guy formerly known as JOGR

I wonder if annual inspections are up to date? Of course they do x-ray inspection of all those critical parts.
