Yeah, this IS happening! Registration is open.
http://syncrofest.com/
Don't forget to sign up as a volunteer to get the exclusive Volunteer T-shirt. Hone your Syncro knowledge and your driving skills to be in the running for the "Syncro Cup" last years winner Matt Quilter will certainly be a contender. He also plays a mean surf guitar!
Go-Westy will be in attendance this year, we look forward to all the fun they bring to the event, as well as all the vendors who contribute. Stephan's Autohaus, The BusLab, Burley's, Vancafe, AATransaxle (yay Daryl!), Performance auto glass, and Lagunitas brewing.
Looking forward to seeing all our Syncro friends for 2012 this April in Hollister! |

Dude, I was #14 last year (still have the sticker on the windshield)! Guess I should've stayed up another few hours.
Now, hmm... Should I be the first 2WD to register, or wait for my favorite number (44)... Either way, hope to be there again! _________________ ~Kamz

Yeah the plan was to number all the vans when they showed up but the person with the number stickers got delayed in getting to the event. To be fair he was on official SF business!
I'd like to try again this year but lots of us already have numbers on our vans (#3 here). The reason was to use them for the driving events and also a people's choice award. I'd like to figure out a way to do it so that those who have existing #s can keep them and give out new numbers as needed. _________________ Please do not message me on TheSamba. I still am rocking the #7 sticker. Wild bill is out of luck
I just saw #22 the other day and his sticker is holding up really well too. |

You could always have new stickers made, but in a different color. Or, use magnetic numbers instead; collect them all back up on Sunday to reuse for subsequent years. _________________ ~Kamz

Psst Kamz here's your chance for registration #40
On the stickers we could also just start out at 100 this year and go up from there.
Just got a really great idea from Salim to erect a "syncro stop" area where anyone could wait and people who want to show what their syncro can do can just stop buy and pick up people and take them out for a trail ride. What a great way to make new friends! _________________ Please do not message me on TheSamba. Use my email, [email protected] |

So you've erected a plan to compete for the title of Village Syncro eh? Everyone gets a ride!
That is a cool idea though. _________________ Justin

40 is good, but 41 is better! The exact opposite of 14!
Edit: Just checked and saw #40 taken... so, I got slot #41!
I like that Syncro Stop idea... I'll be sticking my thumb out for a Subaru-powered one. _________________ ~Kamz

Congrats on 41 Kam. But I thought you were waiting for 44?
At number 37 I'm just happy to be signed up and able to go. As I stated on the other thread that was locked it will be my first Syncro event and I'm stoked. Looking forward to riding along with anyone who'll have me. _________________ Tim Potts
