i ordered some supposedly original vw factory plug wires for my 2.1 wbx from an online vanagon vendor(no picture). the ends that attach to the distributor cap have the vw/audi symbol and p/n. the cables themselves say volkswagen with a little audi symbol, no p/n havent seen any like this. the ends that attach to the sparkplugs are not the usual metal ends that can be seen in pictures from bentley etc. the ends are rubber with no identification and they dont seal and seat on the sparkplug nearly as securely as the metal end kind. So are these really factory vw wires?

VW owns Audi and they've had both symbols on boxes for decades.

Also they might be "original" but what does than mean? Were they made 30 years ago or last month?

Maybe they accidentally sent you Eurovan wires.
Not even sure what those look like, but all of the OE plug wires I've seen for the boxxers, have the metal on the plug end.

No picture usually means cross referenced part for multiple applications.

AKA.....junk.

Send them back and get the real deal.
