Is it the hard brake line or the flexible one?
You can try AutoCentro, if you can get to Rockville, Md. or you might see if Alaric.H. can help out. He is in Oakton, Va.
EDIT: Missed that it was a hard line. Alaric H. actually made a couple for me a while back. _________________ 1984 Vanagon GL

Are you sure you blew out a steel line, or is it the rubber lines going to the calipers or drums?
Either way, you will probably need to order parts from somebody. Advance Auto and Auto Zone often have Vanagon parts and will get them quickest in this case. You can check part availability on line. they won't have the steel lines, most likely. Those might need to be made at a brake specality shop.
I'm nearby in MD if you need something.
11 and U NW is near Howard University. This is not a good place after dark, not really. |

If Auto zone, etc have your parts, you can order them today. |

Alaric is the man. Let me come to his shop and fix my van with his assistance. His attention to detail is amazing along with his collection of tools. Gotta say if you are in the DC area and need someone to give your van a solid once over he is the man for the job. Hopefully I get to head down and see him soon so I can replace my lower ball joints. _________________ -cliff

So this was the white/brown Vanagon I saw from the Rescue as we rode past. Saw it again in the AM at 7eleven on U street but when I turned around you had driven off. Sorry to hear you had trouble. _________________ 1987 Syncro Westy "June" |
