Based on the casting marks, it looks like a stock AMC head. Is it? Or am I just hallucinating?

Ya they stretch at that point and eventually break and sort of looks like head gaskets still seated in the head.

AMC head - yes. That was a PO rebuild.

On this rebuild, I'm thinking of going with a used set of OEM.

Thoughts on that vs. AMC heads through RIMCO, Headflow, or Hoffman?

I just bought a set if new AMC castings that were rebuilt by Len Hoffman (Jake's guy). Beautiful product.....HAM Inc.
