Clearly, these don't look stock. she is a 79 Kombi converted (when new) to a camper by Get-Away in Richmond BC.

Seats were already in , in 91, when we got her and at that point she had sat for four years. there is some evidence of a nose transplant from bottom of windscreen down. The seats could have been replaced after an accident, but I a wondering if anyone has a Get-Away brochure (never seen one myself) that would show standard equipment...

Thanks

question - you have what looks like a walk thru panel behind the seat in the photo. I think those went away in 1976 or so, at least in the North American market. You might look at the VIN in the engine bay and see if matches the one on the dash, If the nose has been replaced the M-code may or may not be the original.

The bulkhead only dissapeared on Stationwagons (and the RH one on Berlin Westfalias), Kombi's still had them in 79.

The seats may have been some aftermarket van conversion part that was popular at the time like those diamond tuft velour swivel captains chairs that everyone put in thier boogie vans around the same era. They definitely are umm... striking. Razz
