Who can tell me more about these reflectors. I know the VW part number tells us they're for beetle (113 945 103A), but I'd like to know more about them since I've never seen them before..
Thanks for looking! _________________ Insta: @kaiscollectionvt

Hey Kai, The reflectors were used on 60's/70's era beetles. Tons of them are listed in the classifieds. |

its A parking reflector, when your cars parked on the side of A dark street it helps other cars driving by see you.
when you tern onto my street at night it looks like some one is sitting in my car with there foot on the brake, other then that you cant see my black car I was under the impression that it was A 1970 only item in the US? and more common in Europe. _________________ 1302s sunroof..

Was it 1970? Was that the (only) year the main taillight lens lacked its own reflector? I had heard this was a goof by VW and the reflectors were an added item to comply with US lighting laws. I can't see VW doing it this way from the start on purpose since it's obviously more expensive than just embedding the reflector in the lens, as was done on all other years. Urban myth or fact? |
