Anyone know if Mike's site is still going? I believe that is his name and his white 69 or 70 westy's name is "Itch". I have seen him numerous times racing his Bay at Drag Day here in SoCal. I've e-mailed him twice at [email protected] with no response. Is he a regular here on samba? Thanks in advance, Bill. |

i do see mike fairly regularly @ the local VW meet and greet.
we bought all his VW parts a while back and then he sold the bay last year.
i would have to assume that savethebays is no longer (if it ever was anything other than a sticker and a website).
i could put you in contact with him if you need. _________________ 88 Van WBX, A/T - 13 JSW TDI 6M/T - 2012 Touareg TDI Sport |

Thank you for your quick reply. Last I saw him was at either the Classic or at Drag Day. Recently, seen "Itch" at Tim Caves shop in Tujunga. Tim had told me then he was processing his retirement and was "gonna get outa LA". I guess he sold his 'vert bug and as you say "Itch" has a new home. At any rate, tell him Bill said hi. It was cool to see him and the cars around here. I got a couple of his stickers (Save The Bays) in an envelope, well guarded here.
Bill. |
