Edd did say he's gonna pursue a channel on Youtube.
Sounds smart - low overhead and low production costs.

Edd is classy. His response to Mike's words is spot on. I really hope both of them can make great car shows.

One idea for a show would be for Edd to hold a kind of clinic when working on a car... instead of him doing the work, he advises "students" (guests of the show who are lucky enough to be selected to do the work) and we see THEM do the work.

We would have the fun of his great knowledge and enthusiasm, but also we can experience the work from the "trained novice" point of view, which pretty much describes most of us.

That could add audience (viewer) interest without compromising the show with phony drama.

And maybe a lucky Sambanista might get a chance to be on the show.

Did Edd respond to this? Haven't seen anything so far.

As far as I'm concerned without Edd there really not much point in watching the show, meaning Mike's contribution to the show is, um, kinda worthless. Don't really like the harsh words Mike had towards Edd. Won't be tuning into the new series.

IDK.... I finally caught a little of the new show last night, the one with the Supra... I think the new guy is alright. I'm a fan of Edd, but I just take these shows for what they're worth.... the fact there was an early Supra on a car show was awesome in its own right!

The new guy (Ant) is pretty good. The show is not as in-depth as it once was. For in-depth stuff, I guess we need to head over to YouTube.

It's still the best show on Velocity, which isn't saying much.

I wonder if these will be the freebie vids on YouTube, or subscription. I'm real close to cutting the cord to satellite TV and haven't figured out which direction I'm going yet.

Hacks. The episode with the “celeeca” I saw tonight was terrible. No headliner, flat black $200 paint job. It was worth more before these used car salesmen worked on it.

both ed and ant are pretty good& know what they are doing for the most part. I like both of them as for the wheelerdealer guy...he is comic relief.mouth peice and advertiser and thats about it. I did learns a good bit when Ant did the porsche thingamabob bearing that go's bad in the newer ones and put the fix it kit in that porsche shoul be doing for free. Shocked yup for free.there is zero exscuse for that issue /bad design to of gone on as long as it did. there are a few diferent fix kits for it some cheep some not so cheep. that should be a porsche recall fix.

I dont see that the big guy said anything bad about ed. ed was tired of doing the work and the other guy running around and talking...ed got lazy as we all can do. ed wanted a helper to do all the work and edd take credit for it like the big guy did....Ive seen a few things ed did that werent up to snuff but he wasent doing anything that most mechanics do....it is what it is. I wish ed luck. as well as Ant. mike needs to reevaluate his roll...but that is his roll.find recon, buy, chase parts acquire spongers..oops sponsors Rolling Eyes ..

My daughter bought a Volvo on the show.
Both of my daughters are in it at the 7:00 min mark.

They said at the shop they saw a list of several mechanics that did the
work on the car.

the actual 'deal' haggling on wheeler dealers always looked fake to me, PD41 with your daughters was it agreed before shooting the take? was there ever a show where they filmed somebody walking away with no deal?

The only reality on reality TV is the gullibility of the watchers thinking it’s real.

A local fellow bought the Opel GT from them.

I asked how he felt about the deal. They thought is was fair and he told me that they a garage full of mechanics helping Ant (and Edd previously).

I like how Ant explains what he is doing and why. Mike is the comic relief of the show.
