Just wanted to ask if anyone else has installed Gerson's early pans and if they had any trouble. I wanted to post here before contacting him to find out if I'm missing something here. Pans sit nicely where they should on the outside and all my measurements are pretty much on the money when compared to the ones I took with the originals before cutting them out. Pan is basically short along the tunnel, especially the back half. Any suggestions?

I realize very few people have had experience with these pans, but by chance does anyone have a set they can take some measurements of so I can compare them to mine? I've also emailed Gerson, so we'll see what he says.

Jerry at Jerfab in Upland, Ca did my pan halves from Gerson. He had to do a little tweaking on one side but it came out looking sweet.

Thanks for posting these. Yours clearly fit as they should along the tunnel. I just don't know how mine can be different than the others he's done. They fit like a glove everywhere else so I just don't understand. BTW, are those seat rails new? If so, who made them?

The seat rails are all new from Wolfsburg West except for the outer driver side which was saved from the original pan half. Reason for that is that the repop outer driver side rail doesn't look anything like the stock one.

What about the floor mat studs/buttons? I searched WW and couldn't seem to find them. Thanks again.

Hey Steve, I noticed your '54 oval appears to be an original black car. Mine is an early '55 black/red car. I'm just doing the pans and will go through all the mechanical stuff to put it back on the road. Pretty cool cars.

sweet ride! you could get the seat buttons when you purchase the floor mats, they don't sell them without buying the mats also.

I believe the snaps are just off the shelf parts. A good hardware store should have them.

Thanks for the info on the snaps. I just got off the phone with Gerson and as I expected, my pans are no different than any of the other early pans he's sold, so I'm going to have to weld a filler strip of metal to make up the difference along the tunnel. Wish I could hear from someone else who has had to do this.

Have you measured the new pans vs your old pans?

I didn't do this before cutting them out. I guess I just didn't think I needed to but now wish I had. Before I do goofy stuff to make these work, does anyone have a set of Gerson pans they can take a few measurements of so I can compare them to mine? It's not that I doubt what Gerson says, I just need to be sure.

If you can post a picture of a complete pan marked up with where you want the measurements taken, I could measure my set.

Chris, if you could measure from the center of each of the last three pan bolt holes (not including body mount hole) straight across to the edge I would greatly appreciate it.

The measurements on my pans for the red lines you have drawn are:

Front: 19 1/8"
Middle: 19 5/8"
Rear: 19 1/2"
