Anyone know the width of the oil pump housing hole on the 1600? Or anyone have a case sitting around that they wouldn't mind taking a quick measurement? I'm trying to find a case splitting tool for my brat's 1600 but only VW tools come up, and they fit into the oil pump area and work as a spreader. It should be the same on the brat but I wanted to get a measurement before I order the tool.

Call bus boys and ask him to measure an oil pump for you. He'll do it I'm sure. Nice guy

they are all the same. The tool that works on a T4 works on a T1 also.

But does it fit a Subaru?, I'll measure one in the next few hours if no one beats me to it.

In all the case spliting ive seen ive never seen one of those.... cool!!  it would make a perfect present for someone i know....

Much appreciated. Although I've got 1 7/8". Big difference. I'll have to call and see how big that tool is.
