Yes... They get power from the coil and the switch is in the tranny. _________________ Glenn

Its all black and goes to the coil positive.
hook it to the low tension side (green) and you got yourself a kill switch.... that only works in reverse _________________ Quick little bug, you got a Porsche motor in that?

Positive current flow actually starts from the positive (#15) coil terminal; through an 8A in-line fuse; through that hole to the reverse switch in the nose of the transmission; from the switch back though that hole into the engine compartment; to a Y-splitter; and then on the the L and R reverse lights where they are grounded at the tail light assemblies.
Between this hole and the reverse light switch, both black wires on my car are inside a black sheath/sleeve to keep them together. I'm assuming that was stock. _________________ AshMan40

How about the rubber grommets that protect the wires going through the firewall. I have three different sizes. I seem to only find one. ANYONE?? |

i think all the holes are 16.5 mm and the grommets are the same for the tail light wires and some holes in behind the dash. _________________ THE BUILD http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php
