Skinne's car is rotary powered, cool but definately not my thing. As for the first pair posted, I would love to be able to afford both of them, they're super cool.

Rotary?

I seen a car like that, which was either rotary or wbx (water cooled) powered thought that was it.

There's not an inch on that car that is not perfect. From body to paint, to interior to engineering.

It is the nicest VW i've ever seen.

And Tim's a really nice guy.

...soory buddy i was editing when you posted Very Happy

...thanks for kind words guys ,and there is a some seriously potent cars out there and even more that pull some serious times, but i can tell you this...i drove that car every day for years back and forth to work on RI roads and even to Conn. shows over an hour away...three transmissions,1 motor refresh and hundreds of dollars in fuel...hell even when i got all f--ked up i let my buddy Jon take it for a few months and roll around RI car cruises with it...it drove around that good even being a tube chassis race car!!

...i redid the car in June '11 with some help from my buddy Jon and a friend/customer Rob...Rob passed away a few months after we debut it at Litchfield,he was there when we lit it off in my home garage and followed us to the show...it's got a sentimental kinda vibe now i guess and I kinda realize more than ever how you can be here today and gone tomorrow.

...and yes she always looked better in black (smashed the side when oi first built it and added the maroon in Glenn's pic right before the show season) so for june '11 I redid the paint, interior, motor and trans all over and this is how she sits now:

i like the fact that i had a custom header made to "low-boy" the turbo down BELOW the Big Wig wing...and got rid of the cookie cutter turbo system look that's out there so much...so the wing can be run or not and it doesnt look to silly.

hopefully this year...i'm going to sort out the trans AGAIN and take her for a rip down the track...there won't be any Gene cook or Scott Sain times by any means but hoping for low 11's high tens and still drive the wheels off it on pump gas.
