Reminds me of a guy on one of the Thing FB groups who was having issues adjusting his hood latch to work properly. He finally gave up and used a length of fire hose and sheet metal screws to fasten the hose across the hood to keep it closed. He then posted photos of it on the forum showing how proud he was of his solution and couldn't understand all of the negative posts he received in response to his "handy work". Defended it by saying it was his Thing and he'd do whatever he dammed well wanted to it. _________________ '74 Thing
