Gather those Vanagons and come join a free night of relaxed camping where we last gathered to send off Mr & Mrs Rubba-Chicken 
Yes - Shrewsbury,MA Dale Ward's family estate, 993 Main St., Shrewsbury, MA 01545. Located directly across from the Ward Hill ski area. We will be camping behind the barn, drive around the left side of the barn. Plenty of firewood will be available for a group campfire. PM me if you need more directions. Camp fire and potta-potty(donations accepted for potty). Caravan to the Conn. VW Spring Dust off Sunday Morning after breakfast at the nearby diner.
Was great last year at the send-off with Samba people such as RadioRenta, ChojinChef.

A search on Google indicates the show is Sunday, April 22nd.
Unfortunately, I didn't plan far enough ahead to take time off work so I won't be able to make it.

Sorry, added the dates - April 28-29th, so you have time.
The show on the 22nd is http://nedustoff.com/ That's essentially the "dub scene", at least that's how I viewed it, but there was some air cooled and there was at least a Vanagon Westie there.

Hey John,
Thanks for the heads up! We're only 30ish miles up the road. I'll check with my 'social coordinator' and see if I can make it. I've been looking forward to meeting some of the local Samba members.

Yes, we can't keep reading about those western guys getting together and also in PDX - whatever that means. Heck, I had to fly into Washington state and sneak my van out of there to get it to the east coast! I'm telling you "they" were chasing me after I attached the Mass plates to it. If it weren't for my obnoxious east coast driving skills, honed in the notorious greater Boston area and refined in the Providence RI area, I would have never got out of there. 
Someone even sabotaged my van to get Vanagon Syndrome just when getting into North Dakota to get me to turn back – didn’t work, I fixed it and made my get-away that Clyde & Bonnie would have been proud of.

I can't make this one but I'm hoping to get to a Fergus, Ontario meet early May and then the humongous Bus Fusion early June. I really really hoping that I get to go to some meets in NE in late June, July, August.
Hey here's a thought! Perhaps we could have a ZEEMEET in NE States in a few mths kidding

John I won't be able to camp out with you guys but will
meet who ever goes to the dust off there. I'll miss
out on the campfire fun but there will be plenty of times
over the summer to tell fish stories...

Don't let it stop you! I should be working on getting me van on the road, but I'm postponing a week. Dale is loaning me a van to sleep in and he has another 1 (or 2) that you can claim. If you want to carpool there, PM me.

Derek, there is a tent on the market that looks just like a bus or Vanagon, you could get it and pretend you are towing the bug behind Like it's over $300.  but it won't break down on you

Don't forget the festivities this coming weekend. Possible newsletter folding (? or not) and side trip to JJ's Sports Bar for live music Saturday night. Spotless Porta-Potti for all to enjoy. Extra camping vans for those without one. Sparky campfire, courtesy of Atlas Box and Crate. Go Kart and Mini Bike driving.
