so i got to thinking this morning, and i hardly ever see girls with busses....specifically bay windows. i know there are at least three that are on here often, one with a 70 bus for sure, but just to remind all us guys that we are not alone, can we see those marvelous VW's of yours, to keep us in check that its not a guys only forum and hobby? lets see the ladies handiwork!

There used to be a thread called "girls with bays"...but it wasnt pictures of their handiwork. 
But I think it got removed from the samba.

i know of that thread, and i wasnt going that direction at all, i just want to know who on this site is a girl, who works on, or owns her own bay window. If it gets inappropriate, please lock it down, its not where i was headed.

| Always great to see a lady with a bus. But....I don't like seeing them work on vehicles and get their hands greasy and full of callouses. |

Nice Bus Kim, glad to have you with us. I love the curtains in your Bus, did you tie dye them yourself? A fresh coat of white paint on your bumpers would be the next thing I would do....you know...if it were me.

Yah, I tie dyed the curtains my self. They started out being white cotten dinner napkins! LOL As far as painting the bumper, that would make the nose of the bus look funny! LOL
I may decide to paint the whole bus one day, but for now I kind of like the character that the rusty nicks and dings give it. Of course I won't let it turn into cancer, but I will leave it for now.

I think this is the only photo that I have of myself in the bus. Its a few years old now...
I do a lot of the work on my bus but my husband (yes husband now!) likes to help out(or take over ha) and do a lot of the things that I have a hard time with. But we are most often working on it together.

So long as they don't get smudges on my wine glass when they refill it for me, I don't care if their hands are greasy. |

Ha, I didn't wanna double post a bunch of pics but ok. What it looked like when I first got it:
For awhile there I had it painted orange and green before I changed it over to green. Ridiculous I know.
What it looks like these days:
This year's plan is new windshield, fix the leak in the rear vent window on the driver's side (or swap to a sliding window), clean all the ugly mold/algae muck off it, paint the bumpers and camp more. It would also be nice to fix the rust on the passenger dog leg (er, cut out and weld a new one in) so that I can attach the bumperettes back on the front. We'll see how that last one goes...
