Right then I have fitted all new balljoints, but my steering is really heavy, could anyone shed any light on this? _________________ I never learned that much at school, but i've taught ladies plenty!!

You probably need to add some caster back into it (those big rubber bushes that wrap around the beam). This is one of the things about lowering a T-3 using the stock beam, you take away caster. Caster helps the car track in a straight line, and it also makes it easier to turn. It's also possible that you need to adjust the camber. That can be done at the ball joints. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

actually more caster makes it heavier but better stability and handling.
less caster makes it light but all twitchy and unstable.
I suggest raising it is its too low, check the tierod ends, tire pressure, steering box adjustments, check ball joints.
Also you mention narrowed arms? that could be exactly it!
congratulation! you have ruined your steering geometry |
