I found this:
http://www.northwestmogfest.com/invite/eventinfo
(SOMEWHAT) SCHEDULED EVENTS:
There are very few organized activities and nobody is going to tell you what to do, instead we provide a time and place, its up to you to fill in the details. However there is a general schedule as follows:
•Friday (10th) through Wednesday (15th) – Early arrivals, plotting, scheming… Barnyard Drive-in movies, untraditional costume night, Backhoe lessons, Em’s B-day party, mock-German language lessons. Oh yeah, Unimogs fit in there somewhere too…
•Thursday (16th) – Campout at Trask and/or TSF, hobo pies around the campfire, lies and BS.
•Friday (17th) – Trailride at Trask, TSF, or just hang out on the farm. Return to the farm in time for dinner
•Saturday (18th) – The Big Day! breakfast, farm wheeling, showing off, group dinner…
•Sunday (19th) – breakfast, hanging out, heading home… _________________ '85 Syncro Westy |

anyone have a basic rundown/timeline of events? |
Www.northwestmogfest.com
But that is pretty light on details. Keep an eye on this thread for more info from Tristar Eric who is an organizer. I'll be there Friday afternoon through Sunday. Hope to meet you.
Generally, trail run is Friday at Browns camp in the Tillamook Forest, lots of other activities throughout the weekend. Slip-n-slide Saturday early afternoon. Swimming anytime. Breakfast and dinner served Sat-Sun for a reasonable fee. There is also a Facebook page that I'll try to locate later

What do you want to see? Ladies backhoe comp? Axe throwing? Pit manuvers? Trail ride? River swim? Truck stampede? Group photo?
Raffle? auction?
I'll have 2 Mogs there this year, trying to bring the "Mog" back to mogfest
One of them has a backhoe, so we can dig out some syncro friendly pit trails for you guys. Let me know what you guys want to try.

Not true. I just go alot, and had in the past organized the friday trail ride.
There is no trailride this year... sorry. (organized by me anyway)
I was thinking about doing a beach run and a little driving on sand at Pacific City if anyone is interested. _________________ Vanagon/Transporter flares here: www.terrawagen.com

My wife and I are taking our vacation on the Oregon coast that same week, I would love to swing by and show the wife some VW 4X4's. Problem is that I own a 2wd Westy, are we allowed to show up watch, BS and drink some brew with some Oregon Vw's? _________________ ShultzRoadHouse

If you're on the coast, just take highway 18 in from Lincoln City. It goes right through Sheridan. _________________ 89 Syncro Westy - GW 2.5, now with a double knob job

Sorry to hear that Eric isn't organizing a trailride on Friday.
Will there be a Friday trip to tillamook?
I hope so.
I don't know the area well enough to step up, but I am game
for any level trail.(you hear me SFS?)I will be with you on
wherever trail looks fun.
I'm so looking forward to NWMF.

Just a recap of what's happened for the previous year's NWMF trail ride in Tillamook state forest...
2 years in a row the fire hazard rangers closed the trails the day before the event causing mass confusion because there was no way of contacting everyone. So I end up driving to the trailhead to tell folks / breaking the law by driving the trails anyway.
Some years the group is managable, some years there are way too many, with skill levels from beginner to expert. It's hard to keep everyone happy, and the trail ride ends up taking more than 4 hours when it should've been 2.
Break downs... we've had them. Burnt clutches, punctured oil pans, bent wheels, overheating, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I love doing it. The amount of time it takes to pre-ride, and last year I marked the trail for the people that can never understand the code of the trail ride... "Always wait for the guy behind you before you move ahead". It's a huge investment of time and energy.
That's why I want to try something new. Just north of Pacific City, only 38 miles from the farm, there is a sweet little area to drive on the beach and do a little off roading. I say we caravan out at about 9-10am, mess around on the beach, have some brews at the Pelican brewery, and have a caravan back to the farm returning by 2-3 pm.
Anyone wanna play on the beach?
I'l have the Mog with air, so you can air down if you like.

For those of you attending the fest, or if you know somebody not on The Samba who is attending, are any of you planning on driving up to Alaska at the tail end of the summer? I am working with John Wessels to obtain one of the legendary syncro driveshafts. He said he could bring it to NWMF. It would be great if someone was coming up here and could deliver it. I would rather pay you/give you beer than pay obscene shipping charges to transporters. Even if someone was willing to lug it to Tacoma, that would be great as well. Anyway, whatever help I can get, I would appreciate. Please PM me if you would like to help so we don't clog up the thread.
Thanks a ton.

Sorry Eric if it sounded like I was whining.
I understand how much
effort goes into leading a trailride.
That being said, tillamook rates higher than
the beach to me.
I'll roll in Thursday and be ready for anything.
See you soon CZ.

No worries, We'll see what the weather is going to be like Friday.
If there's a group that wants to go, we can arrange something. It's best to get out early if staying at the farm, 9am the latest.
I'll be there all day Thursday, if a group materializes, we can do it. _________________ Vanagon/Transporter flares here: www.terrawagen.com
