I was lookiing through the mobel.de classifieds looking for ideas for my van and came across these tail lights and/or light covers

If anyone can tell me more about them or where they can be had, that wold be great!

You can find the tail lights on Ebay, search "Vanagon smoked tail lights."
The black plastic inner inserts are pretty rare in N. America as far as I know.
ETA: here's a thread about them. As with many threads, it devolves into an argument over taste/functionality/etc., but still a worthwhile source of information:

So those are accually two seperate parts. I like the look. I already knew about smoked lenses, I'll have to see if I can find those covers. That home brew looked ok, too.
Thanks for the link and the help!
Could anyone suggest a current vendor who might have them?

Those are trim parts, called rear transition pieces. Not a lense at all. _________________ 1988 Vanagon

These do not appear to be the genuine ones as it says you have to glue them to the lights(if my bing tanslator is working right). I think these are the same as the ones Busman is selling for $75. They look great though and it is nice to see them. I had to search long and hard before I stumbled upon a set from Madspaniard. _________________ 1984 Vanagon Westfalia Syncro Hightop

While I think they are totally cool ,the way they attach is funky and they rarely sit right . And the factory units require a good sized hole in the body to mount them .
But would I put a set on a van ,Hell yes right along with my SYNCRO stamped sliding door cover . It won't get me better mileage or get me home ,but they are both very cool .
