Ok...
Curious on punters opinions & why.
Who owns the best Squareback & WHY?
Is it the shine, accessories, the engine, the exterior, the interior, the year built etc
Post a pic & add your comment.
For me it would be hard to go past This! Wish it was RHD
its finish is stunning. ride height perfect... hasnt got accessory crap all over it. the owner got THIS right

ALLWAGONS' Ruby Red '64 Sunroof. Perfect NOS parts- rich complete correct restoration.
A close second would be BerT3's '68 Perugruen Fastback, but it's actually over- restored in some aspects, not done yet, and it's going in his living room. And, well, yeah, I prefer a Square over a Fasty, so it says a lot about Bert's efforts on it. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

AllWagon's squareback is superb, and the one pictured in the original post looks great, but with all humility, mine is the best. Three reasons: It is an all original survivor with 40 years of service records and gas receipts; its still a daily driver and not a show car or trailer queen; but most importantly, it's mine. I think that everyone can and should feel that their own squareback is the best. After all they're not cars, they're Volkswagens - they might look the same but each is unique.
Unfortunately,my son needs tuition money for the fall (those east coast colleges are expensive). If anyone would like to adopt it (for cash) and care for it like I have, send me a PM. It needs a good home. _________________ Robert Bills

We ALL think Ours is a Keeper and we'd never trade, except maybe for Everett's black beauty.

I actually hate when someone thinks their own shit is the best. I had a friend with a superbeetle who would argue with anybody over his it, and how is was superior to any other beetle...
Until I see one nicer WITH a sunroof, Everett's takes it _________________ Stop dead photo links! Post your photos to The Samba Gallery! |

I know that I am a bit biased... but, my square is the best... as it's mine!!
I have seen a few cars on here that are exceptionally restored or saved and in my opinion the best year is 1969; IRS rear, 12v, round nose and small tails. what more do you need?
just keep them alive and love what you've got. |

If I didn't have my dream car (my square) I personally like Angel's '62 or '63 RHD from Australia. That thing was nice! I almost bought it when he had it for sale!
Everett's a strong second
Robert B's is a really really nice one also.
Lacoste Black square was nice had it being stock and not slammed. There are many super nice slammed squares out there, but not many stock or unrestored. _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.

I don't know how I could have forgotten Everett's. I'd say that would have to be first for '61- '63, Martin's definitely for '64-'65, and Bobby Billy's for Second Design Squareback.
