Good Afternoon,
This is my first post on Samba but have learned so much in such a short period. I just purchased a 1984 Westfalia Camper and minus having to replace the clutch has been doing wonders for me. I just returned from a camping trip and along the way had to jump start my battery several times. The question though is this: Is there any way to jump the engine battery by using the 110 V land line connection? Can I just ground the negative and get a spark from elsewhere to jumpstart my Vanagon? I know in the meantime I will have to track down what was stealing all my juice but am curious if jump starting the battery via the "shore-power" is possible. Thanks. VW Logo

No it isn't possible. There's nothing in the van that would allow you to do that. 120 volt ac is not compatable with 12 volt dc.
